Day 1: Kigali Airport to Kigali
Upon arrival at Kigali Airport, our Nyumbu Beyond Journeys’ experienced safari guide will be waiting to welcome you and provide a short briefing before transferring you to your accommodation in Kigali (approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic conditions). You will have the opportunity to rest and prepare for your safari adventure the following day. Our guide will ensure that you are comfortable and ready for an exciting and unforgettable experience exploring the beautiful landscapes and wildlife of Rwanda.
Day 2: Kigali City Tour to Volcanoes National Park
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel, then embark on a city tour of Kigali, including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial. After the tour, head towards Volcanoes National Park to begin your safari adventure.

Transfer to Musanze and Venture to the stunning Volcanoes National Park in northwestern Rwanda, a sanctuary spanning 160 km2 of lush rainforest. This picturesque park is home to five of the magnificent volcanoes in the Virunga Mountains – Karisimbi, Bisoke, Muhabura, Gahinga, and Sabyinyo. Bordering the renowned Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda’s Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, this biodiverse haven is a haven for mountain gorillas and golden monkeys.
Additionally, Volcanoes National Park holds significance as the former research base of celebrated primatologist Dian Fossey. Immerse yourself in the ethereal beauty and abundant wildlife of this park as you embark on an unforgettable journey to encounter these captivating creatures up close.
Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking and drive to Bwindi
After an early breakfast, you’ll be chauffeured to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters in Kingi for an unforgettable Golden Monkey tracking adventure. Following a briefing by the park rangers, you’ll travel 15 minutes to the starting point and connect to the trailhead, embarking on a jungle trek in search of the unique and rare Golden Monkeys. Spend an incredible hour observing these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat, as they play, jump from tree to tree, and munch on fruit, capturing the moment with your camera.
After the experience, return to the lodge for lunch, before journeying to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy the picturesque views of hills, misty valleys, and various vegetation along the way. Located in the southwestern part of Uganda, the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to over half of the world’s remaining population of rare Mountain Gorillas. Upon your arrival, check in to your accommodation.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest to Kigali
After breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters where you will receive a briefing about the upcoming activity. With the guidance of an experienced park ranger, embark on a journey deep into the misty forest in search of the awe-inspiring mountain gorillas. After the thrilling Gorilla Trekking Experience, transfer to Kigali with astonishing memories and photos of this Once in A Life Time Experience.
Embark on an Unforgettable Gorilla Trekking Adventure in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Uganda. Day 5: Kigali International Airport – to – Seronera Airstrip
You will be picked up at Kigali and transferred to Kigali Airport for your flight to the Great Serengeti National Park for an astonishing Big 5 Safari Game Viewing. Arriving at Seronera Airstrip, your guide will be waiting for you excited to thrill you with the best game drive experience as Serengeti if famous for Wildebeest Migration, Wildcats and the Big 5.
Later int the after you venture into the awe-inspiring Serengeti Central for an unforgettable safari experience. Here, witnesses the extraordinary sight of over a million wildebeest, along with hundreds of thousands of zebras, Thomson’s gazelle, and other antelope species, all preyed upon by Africa’s iconic predators.

Day 6: Full Day Serengeti Central Experience
Explore the vast plains of the Serengeti National Park on a full day game drive, allowing ample time to spot elusive wildcats such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. With luck, you may also witness the awe-inspiring wildebeest migration, an unforgettable sight that occurs annually in this remarkable ecosystem. As you traverse the park’s diverse landscapes, keep your camera ready to capture the unique beauty of the Serengeti and its abundant wildlife.
After breakfast, embark on a game viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit. Keep your eyes peeled for Lions, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich, and cheetahs. Visit the Visitor Centre near the Serengeti Seronera Lodge for intriguing wildlife displays and a chance to purchase snacks and cold drinks.
Following a relaxing picnic lunch, we continue our adventure with the Kopjes Circuit in the afternoon. This route winds around the Maasai Kopjes, renowned for attracting lions and giant cobras. Explore these granite outcrops, each a unique ecosystem offering shade and waterholes for wildlife. Keep watch for lions lurking in wait for their prey.

Day 7: Proceed to Ndutu Area for Game Drive
Following breakfast, we will depart for the Ndutu area, located in the Ngorongoro conservation area, which is part of the southern Serengeti eco-system. Although Lake Ndutu, like most other rift lakes, is alkaline, the water is still drinkable and is consumed by a variety of local wildlife.
Embark on an exhilarating Serengeti Ndutu Game Drive in Ndutu – Southern Serengeti, where you’ll spend the day exploring the picturesque shores of Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek. Witness tens of thousands of young wildebeest taking their first steps in the surrounding land. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure immersed in the heart of wildlife wonders.
Day 8: Full Day Ndutu Game Drive
Today, you will set out early in the morning at around 6:00 am for a morning game drive. Depart from the lodge and explore around Ndutu Lake and Lake Masek in search of big cats, possibly engaged in hunting prey. Expect to encounter wildebeest, zebras, impalas, lions, cheetahs, and other wildlife. Return to the lodge for a full breakfast before heading out again into the bush for an afternoon game drive. Later, return to the lodge for lunch and some afternoon rest.

In the cooler evening, embark on an unforgettable Ngorongoro Ndutu Wildebeest Migration Game Drive during the calving season in Ndutu Ngorongoro. Explore the stunning shores of Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek, while witnessing tens of thousands of young wildebeest taking their first steps in the surrounding land. Day 9: Morning Ndutu Game Drive to Ngorongoro
After breakfast, experience Ndutu area with a morning game drive in search of wildebeest and wildcats. After the thrilling game drive and lunch proceed to Ngorongoro for overnight.
