Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe, Karibu! & Shoebill Tracking – Optional Kampala City Tour
You will be picked up from the airport by our driver, check in to your hotel freshen up, and have a briefing later go to Mabamba swamp for the elusive shoe bill stork. The activity takes about 2-4 hours while on a local engine boat with an experienced local guide. Having enjoyed the whale’s head, the swamp also harbors several bird species like the papyrus Gonolek, lots of migrants from Asia and Europe, a blessing for bird lovers.
Day 2: Transfer to Rhino tracking & Murchison Falls
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be received by our guide/driver and transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park. The journey is through several villages in Uganda’s countryside with green beautiful vegetation and several roadside fruits and vegetable markets.

Our first stopover will be at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino tracking. The trek can take anything from a few minutes to an hour depending on where the Rhinos are located within the sanctuary. You will receive a briefing from the ranger guide and start on your Rhino trek thereafter. After this experience, you will have lunch and then proceed to the national park where you arrive later that evening.
Day 3: Game Drive & Boat Cruise on River Nile
Today early morning after your breakfast, the driver guide will pick you from the lodge and start your game drive exploring Murchison falls national park. The Park has different tracks where you are able to drive and enjoy both the vegetation and the variety of animals. The highlight of this trip is game viewing in our custom-made vehicles where you are able to capture your favorite moments of Giraffes as they move through the grasslands, buffaloes, Jacksons Hartebeest, Uganda Kobs, Lions, herds of Buffaloes, fishermen on Lake Albert, Waterbucks, etc. You will be looking for the remaining Big 4 having seen the Rhinos the previous day at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. The game drive will go on until lunch after which you leave for the boat safari.
In the afternoon take on a boat Safari on River Nile from where you shall watch different animals along the shore and continue to about ten meters from the bottom of Murchison falls – also known as ‘Devils cauldron”. This 3-hour boat journey is a great way to spend the afternoon enjoying the Victoria Nile and the several Hippos and Crocodiles before you return back to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer game drive to Kibale National Park
Start your day with an early breakfast before embarking on a scenic drive to Kibale National Park for chimpanzee tracking. The journey covers approximately 260 kilometers and typically takes 5-7hrs drive. As you travel, enjoy the picturesque landscapes, rolling hills, and local villages.
Upon arrival in the late afternoon, check-into your booked lodge. After a relaxing lunch, take some time to refresh and unwind after the drive. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night at the lodge, preparing for the exciting chimpanzee tracking adventure the following day.
Day 5: Bigodi Community Experience & Relaxation
Today, you will have your breakfast at leisure before you head out for yet another African immersion experience. You have an opportunity to visit a swamp with abundant butterflies, plants, animals and spectacular birds like Great Blue Turaco and will be of great interest to birders. After this experience you will take a village walk that will lead you to the Coffee experience, banana bear making, basket making and traditional healer before you return back to your lodge for relaxation and bonfire.
Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking & Tinka Home Experience
Early morning breakfast, continue to Kibale park headquarters for a morning briefing and start the chimpanzee tracking experience that will bring you close to our relatives that survive in the jungle. Kibale forest is dense and regarded as the Primate capital of east Africa due to its large numbers of primates and fauna. Expect loads of monkeys, birds and lots of tree species that will give u a touch of being in the jungle. In the afternoon we shall go for a local lunch experience at Tinka’s Homestay that will unite your spirit with the African organic foods, this is done by a family living around the forest as a community-based initiative to community collaboration towards conservation.
Day 7:Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
Wake up lazily and have your breakfast, later on, have a farewell to the classic Kibale Forest and head to the vast savannah landscapes of Queen Elizabeth national park. The drive takes about 2 hours but you will have a brief game drive in the northern sector of the park kasenyi plains, in search of the lions and other big cats. On your way to the south, you can have a chance to cross the Equator into the Southern Hemisphere and spend their time, with a chance to meet the forest elephants along the road amidst queen Elizabeth national park and more wildlife and birds such vultures and much more.
Day 8: Experiential guided game drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
On this day, after your breakfast, you will head to the northern section of the park “Kasenyi planes” where you will interface with the predators under the guidance of a ranger guide and researchers who drive around the park with radiation trackers which will help them to find lions that have radio collars placed around the neck.
Lion tracking experience takes about 3 hours and later on, you will continue with a morning game drive. After lunch, head to Mweya peninsular at Kazinga channel for a boat cruise.
A boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel will offer you one of the greatest wildlife experiences. Prepare to see countless hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, water birds and many of the other park animals.
The boat will go for a 2-hour on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward. After the boat trip, you can proceed for a late afternoon game drive or return to the lodge.
You will also have beautiful sunset views while resting at your accommodation.

Day 9:Transfer From Queen Elizabeth National Park to Entebbe International Airport
Enjoy your last adventure breakfast and drive through the gorgeous fort portal city just at the fringes of the Rwenzori mountains to Entebbe through the capital of entertainment Kampala. Time at leisure at the airport until your flight out, or extend your trip.
