Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, Karibu!
As soon as you land, a friendly Nyumbu Beyond Journeys safari guide representative will meet you at the airport and transport you to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you’ll have a chance to unwind and get ready for the incredible adventure that awaits you!

Day 2: Transfer flight from Arusha to Serengeti & Evening Game drive
You will fly from Arusha to Serengeti National Park, where your private safari guide from Lion King Adventures will greet you. From there, the epic adventure begins!
The Serengeti National Park is truly spectacular, known for its vast open grasslands that provide excellent opportunities for wildlife sightings. While it is home to a wide variety of wildlife, it is especially famous for its incredible annual migration. Depending on the time of year you visit, you may witness one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World, as vast numbers of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope migrate in search of water and fresh grass.

Day 3: On Safari in Serengeti National Park

Day 4: Hot-air balloon ride and game drive in Serengeti National Park
You will begin your day with a thrilling hot-air balloon ride, soaring high above the breathtaking Serengeti landscape at sunrise. After landing, indulge in a delicious breakfast amidst nature before embarking on exciting game drives, where you’ll have the chance to witness the incredible wildlife and diverse ecosystems that make this region so captivating. Day 5: Transfer Game drive to Ngorongoro Highlands
Your final Serengeti sunrise will be a stunning farewell to your adventure. Afterwards, enjoy a leisurely morning game drive as you meander through the iconic Serengeti and the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Today, you’ll continue to the Ngorongoro Crater, where a luxurious lodge awaits you. Along the way, enjoy cooler temperatures and awe-inspiring landscapes. As the day ends, a delectable, hearty dinner will be served, offering the perfect conclusion to your unforgettable journey.
Day 6: Full day Safari in the Ngorongoro Conservation Crater
When you first see Ngorongoro Crater, it looks like a forgotten world. Concealed by the steep volcanic walls is a pristine wilderness including sweeping savannah, pockets of acacia woodland and glistening lakes and swamps. The crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed 2 to 3 million years ago. It is famous for both its geological delights and for being a natural reserve which is home to some of the densest large mammal populations in the whole of the African continent. The drive down into the crater is an adventure in itself, and when you reach the crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands.
After a picnic lunch inside the crater, you will return to your luxury accommodation.
Day 7: Transfer to Tarangire National Park
This morning, you will drive to Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River, the lifeblood of the park during the dry season. Known as the “river of warthogs”, it is the only source of water for wildlife in the area, making it a prime spot for animal sightings. The park is famous for its large elephant herds, often seen gathered along the river. You may also encounter giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, all closely followed by predators like lions and leopards. Tarangire is home to the highest concentration of breeding bird species in the world! The park’s iconic ancient baobab trees, some of which are over a thousand years old, dot the landscape. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic site within the park.
After an exciting game drive, you’ll proceed to your accommodation located in a Wildlife Management Area for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8: Unwind before your airport transfer
Today, you will be driven to your final destination, whether it’s Arusha Town, Arusha Airport, or Kilimanjaro Airport, with timing tailored to suit your onward travel plans.
