Detailed itinerary

DAY 1: NAIROBI TO SAMBURU GAME RESERVE

Our Kenya tour guide will pick you up at your accommodation/airport in Nairobi and drive to Samburu Game Reserve. Samburu Game Reserve stands as one of the most beautiful wildlife environments in the Northern Circuit. Its aridity makes this territory the perfect home to various animals—both birds and mammals. After this immersion in the wild, drive to the selected campsite/lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: SAMBURU GAME RESERVE

Enjoy an invigorating early morning breakfast and start a full-day Kenya safari with a packed lunch provided. Riverine forest along the Ewaso Nyero River, dry acacias, and termite mounds form this incredibly beautiful reserve. Samburu offers great opportunities to observe wildlife and four of the Big Five are present (rhinos are absent), including big herds of elephants. High-quality sightings of leopards are very unusual and an absolute delight. After this immersion in the wild, drive to the selected campsite/lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: SAMBURU TO ABERDARE

Enjoy an invigorating early morning breakfast and proceed to Aberdares National Park. The scenic drive includes stops to view tea and coffee plantations and a further stop to experience the largest open-air market in East Africa in Karatina.  The Big Five are present in this forest habitat, the buffalo and the elephant being the most common ones. After this immersion in the wild, drive to the selected campsite/lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: ABERDARE TO LAKE NAKURU

Enjoy an invigorating early morning breakfast and proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, crossing the equator. This alkaline lake is beautifully located in the Rift Valley and offers a stunning view due to the flock of pink flamingos. Lake Nakuru is also fabulous for the number of white and black rhinos, over 40 black and 60 white, that you can easily encounter while on safari. You will arrive in time for lunch, which will be followed by an afternoon game drive with the lake in the background. After this immersion in the wild, drive to the selected campsite/lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: LAKE NAKURU TO MAASAI MARA

Enjoy an early morning, invigorating breakfast and proceed to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. As part of the Serengeti ecosystem, Maasai Mara is the place where wildlife still reigns undisturbed and the stage of the spectacular seasonal migration of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and, of course, predators. You will arrive in time for lunch, which will be followed by an afternoon game drive through the endless plains of Maasai Mara. After this immersion in the wild, drive to the selected campsite/lodge for dinner and overnight.
