Day 1: Arrival in Arusha, Karibu Tanzania!
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you’ll be warmly received by our Nyumbu Beyond Journeys safari guide, who will take you through the briefing of your next adventure days. Next, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Arusha, where you’ll have dinner and spend the night.
Arusha is a city in East Africa, Tanzania, nestled at the foot of the volcanic Mount Meru. It serves as a pivotal gateway to various safari destinations and the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest peak, standing proudly at 5,895 meters and situated approximately 100 kilometers to the northeast.
Day 2: Exploring Arusha National Park
After a hearty breakfast, you’ll set out on an exciting adventure to Arusha National Park. This park, nestled at the base of Mount Meru, offers a chance to see a variety of wildlife, from zebras to giraffes and even the elusive Colobus monkeys. As you embark on a game drive, your expert guide will help you spot these magnificent creatures and share fascinating insights about their behaviors and habitats.
When it’s time for lunch, you’ll be treated to a delightful meal at a picturesque picnic site.

Day 3: Transfer game drive to Tarangire National Park
After enjoying your morning breakfast at the hotel and receiving a short overview of the safari plans, you will set off for an exciting day in Tarangire. This is your destination for a full-day adventure filled with captivating wildlife encounters.
As the afternoon sun warms the landscape, your experienced driver will prepare a table for you, serving a satisfying hot lunch. You can complement your meal with a glass of wine, tea, or coffee, creating a perfect blend of flavors to continue your journey through the park. As the day winds down, your driver will guide you back to the lodge at Karatu where a delicious dinner awaits, followed by a restful overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer game drive to Central Serengeti National Park
After early breakfast, you will set off on a journey to Serengeti National Park, specifically in the Central Seronera area, for an exhilarating game drive within the park’s expansive grounds. As the sun reaches its peak, you’ll have a hot lunch at the picnic site. After your meal, you will take a moment to enjoy a glass of wine, tea, or coffee, and then continue your wildlife exploration. As the day transitions into evening, your drive will take you to the lodge where a delectable dinner and a comfortable overnight stay await.
Day 5: Transfer game drive to Northern Serengeti National Park
Today, you’ll start your day with a hot breakfast, then embark on a captivating full-day game drive in the heart of Serengeti National Park’s Central Seronera region, where you’ll witness the awe-inspiring spectacle of the great migration. As the day progresses, your skilled driver will take a break and have a hot lunch.
Following your meal, you’ll savor a glass of wine, tea, or coffee, and then resume your wildlife expedition. Post-lunch, you’ll embark on an afternoon game drive to continue observing the incredible migration. As the sun sets, you’ll arrive at the lodge to check in, indulging in a delectable dinner and resting overnight.
Day 6: Guided Game Drive in Northern Serengeti National Park
Today, you’ll begin your day with an early breakfast at your lodge and embark on an exciting game drive in the Northern Serengeti National Park, renowned for its remarkable wildlife and captivating landscapes. You will pause in the afternoon to savor a delectable lunch at a picturesque picnic site nestled within the park.
You’ll continue your game drive, immersing yourself in the diverse ecosystem of the Northern Serengeti until the late afternoon. As the sun descends, you will depart from the park and journey back to your lodge. You’ll arrive at your lodge in the Northern Serengeti, where you’ll indulge in a satisfying dinner and rest for the night.
Day 7: Transfer guided game drive to Ngorongoro Crater
Today you’ll wake up early in the morning for breakfast at your Northern Serengeti lodge, preparing for another day of adventure. You’ll go on a captivating game drive in the Southern Serengeti, appreciating the vibrant wildlife and breathtaking scenery. You will take a break at midday for a delightful picnic lunch amidst the natural beauty of the Serengeti.
In the afternoon, you’ll begin your journey towards the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You’ll arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater area and settle into your accommodation for the night, where a comforting dinner awaits.
You will be eager for the upcoming exploration of the renowned Ngorongoro Crater.
Day 8: Guided game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater
Following breakfast, you’ll go on an extensive game drive within the enchanting Ngorongoro Crater, for a full-day exploration of its natural wonders. Your dedicated driver will arrange and set up a complete hot lunch experience. Following this delightful meal, you’ll enjoy a glass of wine or savor tea and coffee before resuming your game drive adventure. As the day transitions into the evening, you’ll begin a journey to the lodge, where you’ll enjoy dinner and find rest for the night.
Day 9: Transfer game drive to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will be met at your accommodation by your safari guide. You will then set out for Lake Manyara National Park. This relatively small but diverse park is so named for a shallow Salt Lake that covers a large area of the park’s surface area. Flooding and drying with the seasons, this soda lake is home to thousands of flamingos with another 500-bird species represented in the park. On your exploration of the park, you will see monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalos, elephants, and, with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes —not only open grassy plains but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab-dotted cliffs.
After an extensive game drive through the park, you will head toward to the Lodge in Arusha.
Day 10: Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport & Depart back home
You will have a leisurely breakfast and lunch at the lodge. Depending on your departure back home, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
