Day 1: Arrival in Arusha, Karibu Tanzania!
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro/Arusha Airport, our dedicated Nyumbu Beyond Journeys team warmly welcomes you. Experience a smooth transfer to your Arusha hotel, where you can check-in and relax in the inviting surroundings.
If time allows, delve into an exploration of Arusha Town, framed by the scenic backdrop of Mount Meru. As the primary gateway to the Northern Safari Circuit, Arusha marks the beginning of an unforgettable adventure. Your night unfolds at the luxurious lodge, promising a serene and restful overnight stay.
Day 2-3: Guided game drives in the Ndutu area for calving season
Following an early morning breakfast, set out from the lodge equipped with a packed lunch for a full-day expedition, delving into the heart of the great migration in southern Serengeti and northern Ngorongoro. Amidst the adventure, pause in the afternoon for a delightful bush lunch, then resume with an exhilarating afternoon game drive. As the day unfolds, retreat to the comfort for a delectable dinner and a restful overnight stay.
Day 4: Guide game drives in the Central Serengeti National Park
Embark on a Serengeti adventure with a delightful breakfast, setting the stage for an unforgettable day. Depart for Serengeti National Park, where a captivating game drive awaits. Pause for a scenic lunch in a carefully chosen spot within the park, immersing yourself in the natural surroundings. The afternoon unfolds with more exhilarating game drives, eventually leading to your lodge or camp for a well-deserved break.
Serengeti’s grandeur comes to life, especially during the great migration—a spectacle of wildebeest, zebras, and other herbivores converging for the calving season. For optimal sightings of wildebeest giving birth, the period from mid-December to early April is ideal. After the day’s explorations, retreat to the comfort of your lodge, where a delectable dinner awaits, setting the stage for a restful overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer game drive to Ngorongoro Highlands
On this day we suggest a very early wake-up call, in order to do an early morning game drive (when the animals are more active) and see one of the best sunrises you’ll ever witness.
After the game drive, we will return to the camp for a rewarding brunch and then we’ll proceed to Ngorongoro, the 8th Wonder of the Natural World. The crater spreads for 102 sq. miles and has 2,000 ft high walls, making it virtually Noah’s ark and inhabiting almost every species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa. It’s one of the very rare locations in the whole continent where you can witness the black rhino. The crater has a river, several swamps, a soda lake with a great concentration of flamingos, a forest and open plains. It’s also famous for its elephants which are the largest in the world and have huge tusks. Ngorongoro Crater is truly a Wonder of the Natural World.
You will reach Ngorongoro in time for a sundowner.
Day 6: Ngorongoro crater and transfer back to Arusha for Departure
Awaken to a wild breakfast, setting the stage for a thrilling journey to Ngorongoro Crater, Africa’s largest caldera. Witness diverse wildlife in its early morning magic—30,000 residents, including lions, elephants, and flamingos. The immersive game drive promises extraordinary animal encounters.
