Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to hotel
You will be met by our Nyumbu Beyond Journeys Safari guide at the Entebbe airport upon arrival from your long flight and transferred to your hotel to take a rest, later after diner; you will be briefed about the safari details. Dinner and overnight at hotel at cassia lodge
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Have a morning breakfast, meet your guide, and drive off to Murchison, you will visit Ziwa rhino sanctuary, engage on rhino trekking and later proceed with your drive to Murchison and reach in afternoon for dinner at Pakuba Safari Lodge.
Day 3: Game drive and boat cruise
Wake up and have breakfast, head off for game drive searching for wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, lions and much more. You will later return and have breakfast and later relax at the lodge. Later have lunch, and after lunch head for boat cruise on the Nile, which is for two hours. The boat cruise gives you a great chance to spot Nile crocodiles, hippos and number of bird species. You will return and head for evening game drive in the park. Dinner at the lodge at Pakuba Safari Lodge.
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale
Have breakfast, drive to the top of the falls, visit the wonderful falls, and be driven to Kibale with a beautiful en route drive, and en route lunch. You will then have a stopover along the way to stretch as you proceed to your booked accommodation for diner and overnight at Isunga lodge.
Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking & Bigodi nature walk
Today you will wake up early in the morning and have breakfast and later you will be transferred to Kanyanchu visitor’s centre for briefing at 7:30 am. The tracking takes roughly 2-4 hours depending how close the chimp groups are and you will be given 1 hour to stay and watch the chimps feed, groom and their social life. Later you will return to the lodge for lunch at noon.
In the afternoon, after lunch, you drive to Bigodi bird sanctuary for a swamp walk to experience board walks, bird viewing and also spot some monkeys such as red-tailed monkey, velvet monkey and colobus monkey and return to the lodge in late evening for dinner and overnight at Isunga lodge.

Day 6: Transfer Queen Elizabeth NP
After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park viewing the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range for much of the journey and head for your lunch. After lunch, relax at your lodge, or head for an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge at Twin Lake Safari lodge.
Day 7: Game drive and boat trip
After a morning cap of coffee, you will head out for an early morning game drive in search for the early risers such as the lions, elephants, kobs, buffaloes and alongside you will have chance to spot a number of bird species. The game drive may take roughly two hours before you return to your lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will head for boat trip at Kazinga channel, where you will have a great chance to spot other numerous wildlife. You as well spot other wildlife that is found in this park before you return for dinner and overnight stay at Twin Lake Safari Lodge.
Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi
After relaxed morning buffer breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to the Rushaga sector where your next morning trekking will be conducted. Bwindi is known for harbouring the endangered mountain gorillas which has found their home in this great tropical forest. There are as well number of other primates and bird species that can be sited along with gorilla trekking. You will have en route lunch along the way as you travel to Bwindi. Retire in the evening at your lodge at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge.
Day 9: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking
After breakfast set off early with guides to track the gorillas. The thrill of your encounter will erase the difficulties of the potentially strenuous trek. Bring jungle boots and rain jackets because the park is often wet. Spend time in awe watching the gorillas go about their activities. Each gorilla safari encounter is different and has its own rewards, but you are likely to enjoy the close view of adults feeding, grooming and resting as the youngster’s frolic and swing from vines in a delightfully playful display. An hour will be allocated on finding the gorillas. In the afternoon on a community foot safari to explore the life style of the people living and surrounding the park. Return to camp exhilarated to relieve the encounter with friends over a drink.
Day 10: Transfer to Entebbe
Today, you will have breakfast at your lodge before you jump into your jeep to find your way to Kampala, via Mbarara. You will enjoy a great countryside view of the banana gardens and en route lunch. Reach in the evening and transferred to the airport to catch up with your flight.
